Jacqueline S. (Jackie) Schlager, of Lancaster passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born October 19, 1934 in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Harry H. and Kathryn E. Lichty Black.

A graduate of Lancaster Catholic

High School, she was a switchboard operator at Lancaster General Hospital for 14 years and at the former St. Joseph Hospital for 11 years. She also worked at the former Forry & Hacker Printing Company for 16 years.

Jackie is survived by her son: S. Michael husband of Jeanne Schlager, Columbia, her daughter: Cindy Schlager Hoffman, Lancaster, three grandchildren: Jason, Matthew and Coleen, two brothers: Robert D. Black, Lancaster and Harry A. (Sonny) Black, Lakewood, Washington.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, Pa on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 7:00PM with the Rev. Mark Tedford officiating. Friends may pay their respects to the family from 6-7:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
