Jacqueline M. Rowell, age 92, passed away at the United Zion Retirement Community in Lititz on Thursday, October 3, 2024. During Her 9 Years at UZRC she very much enjoyed her time making friends and doing activities like playing bingo and going on bus trips.
Born in Lancaster on June 22, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Bertha (Bowers) Reese and stepfather Charles Reese (deceased). She was the devoted wife of the late James E. Rowell.
Growing up, Jacqueline attended Sacred Heart Academy. She was a devout and active member of St. James Catholic Church in Lititz. She combined her love of the church with her love for baking and baked for countless church bazaars. Jacqueline treasured her family and she enjoyed spending time with them as often as she could. She loved having family dinners and cooking for everyone was her love language. Her most precious time was spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jacqueline is survived by her children: Lori Chilcoat (wife of Lee) of Columbia, Donald Rowell (husband of Tina) of Plant City, Fl. and Linda Hartranft (wife of Tom) of Lititz; her grandchildren: Chase Elliott, Kayla Chilcoat, Erin Carter, Leigh Lalonde, Devon Mandra, James Hartranft and Deklen Rowell; and her great grandchildren: Conner James Pulver, Trevor Lee Pulver, Rylee Ann Rankin, Walker John Rankin, Kinsley Mae Hartranft, Emilia Grace Hartranft, Theo James Hartranft, David Lee LaLonde and Aurabella Ann LaLonde.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jacqueline is preceded in death by her son Terrence Rowell, her infant daughter, Mary Elizabeth Rowell and her sister, Patricia Brust.
Family will receive friends at St. James Catholic Church, 505 Woodcrest Ave, Lititz, PA, on Friday November 8, 2024, from 10am to 10:30am with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 10:30am with Fr. Michael Culkins to officiate. Burial will be held privately.
