Jack G. Peek, 85, of Lancashire Hall, Lancaster died Sunday, December 24, 2006 at Lancashire Hall after an illness.  He was formally of Lititz Rd., Manheim Twp.

He became Head Golf Professional at Overlook Golf Course in 1948 and later at Indian Springs Golf Course.  He was also an Assistant Pro at Harrisburg Country Club and Somers Point Golf Course, New Jersey.

His love for golf expanded over many decades and he enjoyed the outdoors.

He served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a Sergeant in a Tank Division.  Jack was in the Battle of the Bulge and the European Theater.

Born in Clearfield, PA he was the son of the late Harold M. Sr. and Lillian Schectell Peek.

Surviving are three brothers; Harold M. Jr. married to Ruth M. Peek of Lancaster; Richard Peek of Los Angeles, CA and Leslie Peek of Ojai, CA.  He was preceded in death by three brothers; Earl, Alan and David Peek and a sister, Evelyn Schickel.

A memorial service will be held at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at 2:00pm.  A calling time will be held at the funeral home from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.  Interment in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.
