J. Thomas Curran Jr., 74, of Lancaster, passed away, Monday, June 29, 2009 at Hospice of Lancaster, Mt. Joy. Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Joseph and Edith (Lorentz) Curran. He was the husband of Eileen (Engerud) Curran with whom he celebrated 49 years of marriage this past January 9th.

Tom retired from RCA/GE as an electronic tech. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Tom was an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist, a founding member of the Hillsborough Rescue Squad, a 4H Prep Leader of the "Lightning Boys", and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity in N.C. He was a member of Oak Islands N.C. Sea Turtle protection plan.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Eileen are 2 sons; Kevin Curran husband of Sheila of Hillsborough, NJ, and Timothy Curran of Hillsborough, NJ. A daughter; Kellie Ajjan wife of Michael of Chester Springs, Pa. And 7 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter; Maureen Weigele, and a brother; Jack B. Curran.

A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at St. Mary's Catholic Church 119 S Prince St, Lancaster, PA 17603 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Leo Goodman as Celebrant. Interment will be Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Prospect Hill Cemetery 69 Capner St. Flemington, NJ 08822.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church in care of Religious Education Fund 119 S Prince St, Lancaster, PA 17603.
