Ismael Delgado, 84, of Lancaster, a vibrant soul with a heart full of music and a love for family, peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025. Born in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Guadalupe (Alicea) and Juan Pedro Delgado. Ismael was the beloved husband to the late Ramona Delgado.

A natural performer, Ismael had a passion for singing and strumming the guitar, often playing in a band that became the soundtrack of cherished memories for many. Music was his way of connecting with the world, sharing stories, and spreading happiness. When not performing, Ismael found joy in friendly competition, whether it was a lively game of dominoes with family or playing pool. These moments of togetherness, filled with laughter and camaraderie, reflected the deep love Ismael had for his family and friends.

Ismael's life was a melody of love, laughter, and connection—a tune that will forever play in the hearts of those who loved him.

Ismael is survived by his daughter Nydia Medina, wife of Jose, of Lancaster, and his son Ismael Delgado, Jr. of Lancaster, siblings: Siblings: Benito Delgado, Iris Santiago, Gladys Delgado, Lucy Perez, Jose Noel Delgado, Aida Davila and Myrna Alvarez. He also leaves behind a beloved granddaughter Trinity Medina. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Francisco Delgado, Pedro Delgado, Jr. and Abraham Delgado.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Charles F. Snyder, III Funeral Home and Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584. Family and friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
