Irvin M. Denlinger, 85, of Lancaster, PA, went home to meet his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 10, 2014. He was the husband of Pauline J. Eckman Denlinger, with whom he shared 64 years of marriage this past September 2nd. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Daniel G. and Edna Martin Denlinger. He had a career in the tire industry from service to sales, working at Lebzelters , Inc. and Universal Tire. He had previously worked for J.U. Neuhauser and Landis Brothers. A man whose church family was very important to him, he was an active member of New Providence Church of God, where he had served on the church council as a Deacon and Elder. In past years, he had enjoyed singing in the church choirs and men's quartet. He cherished and loved to spend time with his family. He also enjoyed keeping an immaculate yard and taking care of his cars. In addition to his wife, Irvin is survived by his daughters: Joyce E. married to Randy Goodhart and Carol A. married to Frank Boyers, both of Strasburg; his 4 grandchildren: Erin married to Brad Murr, Neil married to Randi Campbell, Shannon Campbell and Kyra Nicoletti; and by his 3 great grandchildren Blake, Natalie, and Aiden. He is also survived by his siblings: Miriam married to Ernie Mellinger of East Lampeter Twp., Robert married to Emma Jane Denlinger of Strasburg, Aaron married to Joyce Denlinger of East Petersburg, Ruth married to Gordon Mellinger of Stasburg, Rhoda married to Robert Dombach of West Lampeter Twp. and Betty married to Eugene Neff of Christiana. He was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Mary Bucher. Friends will be received on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the New Providence Church of God, 269 Cinder Rd., New Providence, PA from 1-2PM, with the Funeral Service to follow at 2PM. Interment in New Providence Mennonite Cemetery.
