Irene M. Hilbert, 91, died Monday, August 9, 2010 at ManorCare Health Services in Lancaster. Born in Steelton, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Ruth I. Harper Hilbert.

A graduate of the former Lancaster Girls High School, Irene worked as a bookkeeper for the former Bogar Lumber Company. She was a very active member of Grace E. C. Church in Lancaster, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, served on the church board and performed mission society work.

Surviving are four nephews. Her sisters Mildred Stead and Grace Albright preceded Irene in death.

A Memorial Service will take place in the Chapel at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster, PA on Sunday, August 22, 2010, at 2:30 pm. Private Interment in Riverview Burial Park.
