Hugh J. Higgins, Jr., 75, of Lancaster, passed away on October 19, 2016 at home with his wife by his side. Born in Shamokin, PA, he was the son of the late Hugh & Elizabeth Higgins. Hugh was the husband of Susan (Nissley) Higgins and they shared a wonderful 30 years together. Hugh was a graduate from Franklin & Marshall College. A veteran, he served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Hugh retired as an executive recruiter after 35 years of service with S.H.S. Bank. Surviving in addition to his wife, Susan, is a son, Sean Higgins (Sherry); 2 step-daughters: Cathy Ruth (Matt) & Terri Wallace (Bill); 7 grandchildren: Jordan, Madison, Riley, Lexi, Makenna, Bill & Nick; and a sister, Nancy Meier (Ken).
