Howard C. Booker, 83, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2006.

Born in Greenville, TN he was the son of the late Charles and Ida Presley Booker.  His wife, Arlene W. Eckert Booker, preceded him in death in 2001.

A stone mason for forty-four years, he retired in 1985 from James Gribble Masonry.  He served in the US Army during WWII.

He is survived by a daughter, Gloria Jean Neise of Lancaster; son, Gibb married to Evelyn Booker of Lancaster; 5 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.  His sister, Ellie Payne preceded him in death.

The funeral service will be from the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 414 E. King St., Lancaster, Pa on Friday at 10AM.  Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 9AM until the time of service.  Please omit flowers.  Memorial contributions may in be made in Howard's memory to the American Heart Assoc., 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
