Hortense W. Rogers of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Lancaster, PA, died on November 17, 2013. She had passed away at The Springs Nursing Home in Sarasota. "Horty", as she was known to friends and neighbors, will be sadly missed. She was a unique individual and will be long remembered by those who knew her well. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Alva Wilson, a nephew Benjamin A. "Skip" Wilson and his son Adam P. Wilson, all of Lancaster. Also surviving are cousins Bob and Sue Goodman from Longboat Key and Horty's beloved Scarlet. Interment will be in Degel Israel Cemetery in Lancaster, PA. Those wishing to remember Horty may make a memorial contribution to Congregation Degel Israel, 1120 Columbia Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603.
