Hong T. Nguyen, 71, of Lancaster, passed away August 23, 2024, at Lancaster General Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born January 1, 1953, in My Tho, Vietnam, she was the daughter of the late Dang Van Nguyen and Ngai Thi Tran.

Hong dedicated her life to care for her family. She was selfless, hardworking, and her charisma drew people to her. She was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, and great friend to many. She was a devout Catholic and longtime member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and St. Anne and Our Lady of La Vang Catholic Church in Lancaster. She enjoyed gardening and helping others.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Thanhvan Nguyen of Lancaster, Loan Thi Nguyen, Phuong Huu Nguyen, and Vietnam Quoc Nguyen all of Vietnam, as well as numerous grandchildren and extended family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 E Orange St. Lancaster, PA 17602, with Fr. Matthew Morelli as celebrant. A viewing will be held prior to Mass from 9-11 AM at the church.
