Homer Richard Stauffer, 67, of Lititz entered into rest on Wednesday, July 29, 2009.
Born in Lancaster on January 24, 1942, he was the son of the late Homer G. and Estella Ressler Stauffer. A veteran of the United States Army, he served from 1959-1962. He was employed as a mechanical millwright at Armstrong World Industries for 40 years, retiring in 2004. He was member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lititz.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, the grandchildren, boating, hunting, and at the cabin, he built in Huntington, PA.
A loving and hard working husband, father, grandfather, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joanne Brinkman Stauffer in August 2008. he is survived by his four children; Diana wife of Dale Mohler, Manheim, Michael husband of Kathy Stauffer, Newville, PA, Deborah wife of Michael Andrews, Manheim, Richard husband of Shelly Stauffer, Harrisburg, six grandchildren: Denton, Dalene and Derek Mohler, Nathan and Jason Andrews, Brittiany Stauffer, one great grandchild; Kylie Willis and a sister, Dorothy wife of Paul Brantley, Leola.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Gerald, and an infant granddaughter, Darbi Mohler.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 W. Orange Street, Lititz, PA. on Monday, August 3, 2009 at 2:00PM with Rev. James Gable officiating. Interment will be private. Friends may pay their respects to the family at the church on Monday from 1:00-2:00PM. Please omit flowers. Contributions may be made in Homer's memory to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church or Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604. Arrangements are by the Charles F.
