Herman Smithgall (Satch) Horn, 91, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2024, at Luther Acres Healthcare in Lititz, PA. Born in Canton, PA, Satch was the son of the late Charles and Gladys Tarbox.

Satch is survived by his wife Nancy (Nicki) Dorrance Horn and his four children, Tracy Chapple (Don); Diane Kaloustian (George); Susan Cox (Jonathan); and James Horn (Margaret).

He graduated from Canton High School in Canton, PA. He spent two years in the army and graduated from Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA in 1957. He worked at Chemical Leaman Tank Lines, now Quality Distribution, as risk and claims manager.

Satch enjoyed fly fishing and hiking on his annual trips to Gunnison, Colorado.

There will be a Celebration of Life on June first in the Christianson Room at Luther Acres in Lititz from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the Lititz Library or the Masonic Village Hospice.
