Heriberto "Eddie" Bermudez, 80, of Lancaster passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at LGH. Born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico he was the son of the late Jose Bermudez and the late Santa Pagan. He worked as a production worker for Wild Bills Foods in Leola, PA and also worked as a cook at various restaurants in Lancaster. Heriberto loved playing the lottery, going to garage sales with his friend, Don Chelo, but his passion was cooking for his family and following the family tradition of having the Sunday meal together. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates fan. Surviving are three daughters: Emma Elise Bermudez-Trilla, wife of Jorge L. Trilla, of Lancaster, Madeline Bermudez wife of Joshua "Pito" DeJesus of Ephrata, Selina Bermudez of Lititz, a son, Heriberto Bermudez, Jr., husband of Celeste of Lancaster, seventeen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, eight brothers and sisters and the mother of his children, Maria J. Ortiz. He was preceded in death by five siblings. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St, Lancaster, PA 17602. Interment will follow in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. Family and friends will be received from 10-11AM at the funeral home on Tuesday. Please omit flowers.
