Henry F. Soders Jr., 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Wyomissing Nursing and Rehab Center, Reading, PA.

Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of the late Henry F. and Ester May (Hildebrand) Soders of Lancaster. In addition to his parents, Henry is preceded in death by his brothers Harvey and James Soders, and a sister Alice (Soders) Tollaksen.

Henry is survived by a stepson, Kirk Meiskey, and his wife Rene, and their children, Kirk Jr. and Kristi. Henry is also survived by Alice's children, Stephen Tollaksen, Susan Morgan, and Barbara Gredvig, and their families.

Henry proudly served his country as a paratrooper in the US Army during the Korean War. A long-time employee, Henry worked for Burnham Boiler for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, was a big Eagles fan, and collected Native American Indian craft art. He truly loved animals, especially his beloved Russell Terrier, Jack, and supported the York County SPCA.

Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service at 2:00pm on April 27, 2019 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory located at 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz PA 17543. Guests will be received starting at 1:00pm. Contributions in Henry's memory can be made to the York County SPCA at 3159 N Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406.
