Helen A. Silvestri, 91, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2024, a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Born in Chicago, Illinois to Henry and Ragna Amundsen, Helen's life was marked by love, joy, and a passion for the simple pleasures that brought her happiness.

She met her late husband of 59 years, Louis P. Silvestri, at the Chicago Theatre. It was love at first sight.  Among her many accomplishments, Helen was a model for numerous products in print and television, and later a modeling agent for John Casablancas ELITE. Helen was the heart of her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children, Kristine Silvestri and Louis H. Silvestri (Kelly), as well as her grandchildren Cory, Casey, Cole, and Louis V. Her legacy extends to her great-grandchildren Amber, Mia, Ava, and Braxton, who brought immense happiness to her later years.

She would often be seen riding her tractor, enjoying the sunshine, her hair, always styled to perfection, along with her signature sunglasses. Helen had a special affinity for the beach, particularly Wildwood. She was fluent in Norwegian and possessed a charming knowledge of the Italian language.

Known affectionately as the "Bird Lady of Gradyville," Helen had a deep love for feathered friends and spent countless hours raising, feeding and caring for them. In her leisure moments, Helen enjoyed sipping scotch and water. Her warm laughter and infectious spirit will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Services to celebrate Helen's remarkable life will be held at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA, on January 19, 2024, at 2 pm. Visitation will take place prior to the service, beginning at 1 pm. Let us gather to honor and remember a woman whose legacy of love and joy will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
