Helen M. (Shiel) Sabatine, born November 11, 1931 in Loughrea County, Galway, Ireland passed away peacefully at home, under hospice care, Saturday, July 2, 2016 and was laid to rest on Friday, July 8, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Shiel, and was the wife of the late Donat Sabatine, Jr for 50 years, until his passing in 2008. Helen graduated in nursing from the Mater Misercordia, Dublin, Ireland and then came to the United States to further her education. She was a devoted, loving wife and mother. Helen was a devout Catholic, a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, and the Legion of Mary; she loved her Faith and her rosary. Surviving are two daughters, Evelyn of Lancaster and Claire Weaver (Brian) of York; a grandson, Matthew Weaver; two sisters, Bridie and Mary Annette; and a brother, Celie, all of Ireland. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother JJ of Ireland. Memorial contributions in Helen's memory may be made to St. Anne's Catholic Church, 929 N. Duke St, Lancaster, PA 17602.
