Helen L. Schwartz, 79, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at her residence. She was the wife of the late George S. Schwartz, who died in 2013. Born in Pasadena, CA, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Mary Enterline Loercher. Helen had worked in customer service for over 30 years at Penn Dairies. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and her golden retriever, Bailey. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, bowling and watching the Phillies. Helen is survived by her children, all of Lancaster: Valory S. married to Stephen G. Slymon, Craig S. married to Sandra E. Schwartz, and Gretchen A. Schwartz; her 4 grandchildren Tyler married to Jennifer, Justin, Caroline, and Hillary, and her 3 great grandchildren Teresa, Lilah, and Beatrice. She is also survived by her sister Evelyn Weatherbie of Upland, CA, and her sister-in-law Joyce Loercher of Lititz. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Loercher. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and her brothers and sisters through marriage were also her best friends. Friends will be received on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 2-3PM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, with the Funeral Service to follow at 3PM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
