Helen R. Pickell, 92, who lived at 214 Benwell Court, Cary, NC, died at 4:00PM Sunday, November 29, 2009 in Chapel Hill, NC after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Paul H. Pickell of Millersville, PA.

Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Magdelena Binkle Rees. She resided in Millersville, PA from 1968 to 1998. She was a member of the First Reformed United Church of Christ in Lancaster, PA and Good Shepherd United Church of Christ in Cary, NC.

She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl P.  wife of Bradley D. Francis, Cary, NC; three grandsons, Ryan J. and Kevin P. of Cary, NC, and Craig B. of Greensboro, NC; and one great-grandson, Kingston B., son of Craig B. and Ashley S. Francis.

Friends will be received on Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 1030-11AM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA with the funeral service to follow at 11AM, the Rev. Robert D. Sherfy officiating. Interment in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.
