Helen E. (Johns) Rothfus, 93, of Lancaster, died Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, she was the wife of the late John C. Rothfus, who died in 2002. She was the daughter of the late Ira Kauffman and Kathryn Elizabeth (Klinger) Johns. Helen worked for many years in the office at Hamilton Watch Co. She was a member of Faith Evangelical Congregational Church and loved church music. Helen is survived by a niece, Beverly Jiao and four nephews: Kenneth, Tom, Jim, and Stephen Johns; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters: Anna Mae Oster, Dorothy Edna Johns, and Jean Garden; and one brother, Ira K. Johns. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Friday, December 27, 2013 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster with Rev. Joel Kime officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Long's Memorial UMC Cemetery, Neffsville. Kindly omit flowers.
