Helen L. Hamor, 83, of Lancaster passed away Monday, October 3, 2016. She was the wife of Robert W. Hamor. Born in Lancaster she was a daughter of the late Woodrow and Florence (Lutz) Carpenter. Helen worked for Ponderosa as a manager and most recently for the Lancaster Country Club as a server. She was Lutheran by faith and enjoyed cooking. In addition to her husband she is survived by her five children Robert W. Hamor of Lancaster, Kyra, wife of Brett Albaugh of Latrobe, PA, Erin Hamor of Jacksonville, FL, Jennifer, wife of Paul Scheid of York and Yvette, wife of Paul Bell of Twinsburg, OH; five grandchildren Vance Albaugh husband of Maura, Kayla wife of Peter Vicinski, Courtney Scheid, Jeffrey and Amelia Bell; one great-grandson William Albaugh; four sisters Bonnie Peterson and Geraldine Sager both of Lancaster, Carolyn Walker of Mexico, NY and Victoria Carpenter of Texas. Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 4PM from the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 with Rev. Irvin E. Straw, Jr. officiating. Interment will be held privately. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
