Helen J. Haines, 92, of Moravian Manor passed away on July 7, 2016. She was born in Lancaster, PA to the late Charles & Margaret (Scheid) Batzer. Helen was the loving wife of 63 years to the late Charles "Juker" Haines, Jr. Helen spent most of her life living on Pleasure Road in Manheim Township. She was an active lifetime member of Otterbein United Methodist Church. She was a 1942 graduate of Manheim Township High School. Helen enjoyed gardening & shopping, but most of all, loved taking care of her children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Surviving are two sons: Robert C. Haines, husband of Mary Ann, of Lititz and James S. Haines, husband of Tammy, of Lancaster; 3 grandchildren: Michael Haines, Jennifer Ely and Margaret Haines; 4 great-grandchildren: Mackenzie & Owen Haines, Kayleigh Wagner & Isabelle Ely; a sister: Jean Woodland; and 6 nephews. Helen was preceded in death by a son, Thomas, daughter-in-law, Lisa, and grandson, Kevin, and brothers: Robert & Richard Batzer. Relatives and friends will be received from 1-2 PM on Monday, July 11, 2016 with a Funeral Service to begin at 2 PM officiated by The Rev. Jonette Gay and The Rev. Jeff Batzer at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Helen will be laid to rest at Landis Valley Mennonite Cemetery.
