Helen C. (Eyler) Harrison, 83, of Columbia, died Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in her residence. Born in Waynesboro, she was the wife of the late Earl L. Harrison, Jr, who died July 31, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Dr. Owen A. and Helen (Morrow) Eyler. Helen loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed playing games with them, especially poker. She was a member of Hempfield United Methodist Church, Lancaster. Helen is survived by 2 sons: Earl L. Harrison III and Scott T. Harrison and his wife Jean, all of Columbia; 7 grandchildren: Earl IV, Scott Jr., Silas, Heather, Nathaniel, Matthew, and Eric; 9 great-grandchildren; a brother, William Balabanow and his wife Betty Ann of Lancaster; and 3 sisters: Margurite Root of Mount Joy, Linda Lee Davis and her husband John of Willow Street, and Ann Unger and her husband Albert of Lancaster. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Hempfield United Methodist Church, 3050 Marietta Ave., Lancaster with Rev. Bruce Lefever officiating. Inurnment will follow in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the service.
