Helen E. Deatrick, 89, of Lancaster, passed away at ManorCare, Friday, February 14, 2020. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Wenninger) Houser. She was the wife of Henry H. Deatrick, of Lancaster.

Of the Catholic Faith, Helen worked as a packer for K.D. Tool of Lancaster. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and Bingo, and was a Phillies fan because of Pete Rose and Miami Dolphins fan because of Don Shula. More than anything else in this world, Helen loved her family and friends!

In addition to her husband, Helen is survived by her children: Gary Deatrick, husband of Diane, of Lancaster; Mike Deatrick, of Lancaster; Mark Deatrick, husband of Cindy, of Lititz; and Rose Geiter, of Lancaster; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and her siblings: Carl Frey, husband of Romaine, of Lancaster; Joanne "Jo" Carpenter, of Mountville; and Richard Houser, husband of Deb, of Neffsville.

Family and friends will be received at Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory from 10AM to 11AM, Wednesday, February 19, 2020. A Christian Prayer Service will follow at the funeral home at 11AM. Interment will be private, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Helen's name be made to Heartland Hospice .
