Helen Maxine Broam, 77, of Lancaster, PA passed away Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late William A. Broam who died in 2000.

Born in Lancaster she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Mae (Dirks) Young. Maxine was a graduate of Manheim Twp. High School and was employed by Manheim Twp. School district for 25 years where she worked in the cafeteria and was a teacher's aide. She enjoyed gardening, camping at Outdoor World (Circle M) in Millersville, fishing, coloring and being the best great grandma, nanny and mother in the world. She will be forever missed.

She is survived by her two sons Bill J. Broam husband of Cindy of Manheim, PA and Chris A. Broam husband of Sylvia of Lititz, PA and a daughter Lisa A. Murray of Lancaster, PA; two grandsons Wyatt Zong and Robert Murray and a great granddaughter Sydney Zong. Maxine was preceded in death by two brothers Elwood "Woody" Young and John Young.
