Helen B. Bitts, 93, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on November 10, 2018 at Conestoga View. Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Brophy) and Othmar C. Kirchner. Helen was the loving wife of the late Robert L. Bitts, Sr. for over 37 years.

Helen was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a 1943 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School. She belonged to the St. Joes' Seniors Club, the Catholic Daughters Association and the Altar Rosary Society at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Mostly Helen enjoyed spending time with her family.

Helen is survived by her children: Barbara B. Plastino (William) of San Antonio, TX; Patricia J. Boley of Lancaster; Jeanne B. Heaton (Wayne) of Brigantine, NJ; Jeffrey C. Bitts (Debra) of Lititz and Susan M. Southward (William) of Lancaster; 13 Grandchildren; 16 Great-Grandchildren and her sister Mary Ann Welsh (Robert) of Lancaster. Helen was preceded in death by a son Robert L. Bitts, Jr; and her siblings: Othmar C. Kirchner, Jr., James J. Kirchner, Michael Kirchner, Thomas Kirchner and Margaret Kilheffer Friends and family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 Saint Joseph Street, Lancaster, PA 17603. The family will receive guests at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
