Heather (Kappesser) DiGuardi, 39, of Wernersville, PA and formerly of Lancaster, PA passed away on April 25, 2012 at Lancaster General Hospital after a short battle with cancer. Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of Catherine "Kitty" (Hubrich) Kappesser and the late Charles E. Kappesser, Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph V. DiGuardi, and was preceded in death by a son.

Heather was a sales representative at Foxchase Golf Club, Denver, PA and a Demo Technician for Callaway Golf Company.

She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Sinking Spring, PA.

Heather was a 1991 graduate of Manheim Township High School and received her bachelor's degree in 1995 from George Mason University. In high school and in college she was a multi sport athlete. At George Mason University she played on the softball team. During her high school years at Manheim Township H.S. she was a multiple sport Lancaster Lebanon League All Star winning two district titles in basketball and an individual district title in golf. She also won various local golf titles, winning the Lancaster City County Mixed Better Ball and the Women's Lancaster City County Better Ball.

Heather was a member of the Berks County Women's Golf Association.

She enjoyed the beach, especially the OCMD beaches and her dogs. Heather was an avid sports fan and loved going to professional sporting events, especially baseball games. She and Joe were Philadelphia and Reading Phillies season ticket holders.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Joe, is a brother Chip E. Kappesser, husband of Beth (Kirchner), of Lancaster, a niece, Paisley and a nephew, Emmett.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 10:30AM at St. James Catholic Church 505 Woodcrest Ave. Lititz, PA 17543 with The Rev. James O'Blaney C.Ss.R as Celebrant. Viewings will be held on Monday from 6-9PM in the chapel of the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 and again on Tuesday at the church from 9:30-10:30AM. Interment will be in Manheim Fairview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Heather's memory to the Heather Kappesser-DiGuardi Memorial Fund. This will be an athletic fund for a future high school female athlete.
