Hazel B. Burns, 87, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the Hospice of Lancaster County, Essa Flory Center.  Born in Rogersville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Cora Ann (Mowell) Bowser.  Hazel was the loving wife of 59 years to the late Clifford O. Burns, who passed away in 1999.

She worked the Check-In department at Lancaster Laundry.  She enjoyed embroidery, sewing and cooking southern style foods.  Hazel loved to spend time with her family and she will be greatly missed.

Surviving are 4 children: Virginia "Ginny" Parks, wife of Patrick, Clifford Burns, Jr., husband of the late Elaine, Jacqueline Hellman, wife of the late Carl, and Susan Horst, wife of Donald.  She was the proud grandmother of 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the Charles F.
