Harvey Haywood Armbrecht, 95, of Lancaster, died Friday, February 28, 2014 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the husband of Martha Agnes (Rhodemann) Armbrecht of Lancaster, whom he married June 1, 1945. He was the son of the late Harvey and Gladys (Moreby) Armbrecht.

Harvey was a US Army veteran of WWII, and was of the Baptist faith.

He was employed as a machinist for a number of years by Electric Tachometer, Philadelphia.

In addition to his wife of 68 years, he is survived by two sons: Harvey James Armbrecht and his wife Linda of St. Louis, MO and Donald William Armbrecht and his wife Susan L. of Doylestown; 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Evelyn Unruh of Runnemede, NJ and Ruth Ross of Tabernacle, NJ.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Charles F. Snyder, Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA with Rev. Ken Shomo officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Long Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery, Neffsville. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
