Harriet J. Carlson, 82, passed away at her Lancaster, PA, home on Tuesday, February 17, 2015. Born in Racine, WI, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Eva (Pfleger) Anclam. Harriet's husband of 56 years, Raymond L. Carlson, died in 2012.

A graduate of William Horlick High School in Racine, she was a homemaker until later in life when she worked in retail at Liz Claiborne in the Tanger Outlets. Harriet was a great mother and she was the best friend and confidant to her daughter Diana. She enjoyed gourmet cooking, baking, entertaining, quilt making, stitchery, sewing and bowling. Harriet was of the Presbyterian Faith.

Harriet is survived by two daughters: Cynthia S., wife of Robert L. Smith, Jr., of Rio Rancho, NM, and Diana L. Carlson of Lancaster, PA; two sons: David M. Carlson, husband of Nancy L. of Willow Street, PA, and Richard S. Carlson, husband of Tamara L. of Lancaster, PA; and four grandsons, two granddaughters, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Anclam, husband of Josie of Racine, WI.

Memorial Services will be held 2:30 pm Friday, February 27, 2015, at First Presbyterian Church, 140 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA 17602, with Rev. Dr. Donald W. Hackett officiating. Harriet's family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 pm at the church. Burial will be private. Please omit flowers.
