Harold K. White, Sr., 81, of Lancaster passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of June (Andes) White with whom he celebrated 27 years of marriage this past March.
He graduated from Timken Technical High School in Canton, OH and worked as a technician at the former RCA Company for 29 years and served as the president of the union for 14 years. He was later employed by the Garber Scale Co. of Lancaster. Harold was a former member of the Conestoga and Ephrata Sertoma Club and served two terms as district governor. He was a former member at Concordia Lutheran Church where he was active in the church council and was a current member of Reformation Lutheran Church, Salunga. He was a Penn State fan and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was a veteran serving in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his loving wife, June he is survived by his 4 daughters, Mary, wife of Doug Henry, of Mt. Joy, Marion, wife of Ray Radinsky, of New Providence, PA, Maria Davenport, of Ephrata, Carol, wife of Peter Fisher, of Holtwood, PA and son, Harold, Jr.; 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a sister, Carol Baughman, of Canton, OH. Also surviving are 2 step-daughters, Jeri Brenner, of Mt. Joy, Paula Haines, of Lancaster and a step-son, Jeffrey, husband of Denise Haines, of Willow St, PA. He was preceded in death by a son, John White, granddaughter, Lori Barley, and 2 sisters, Twila Price and Lila Ellers.
Funeral Services will be at 10AM on Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St, Lancaster, PA with Rev. Luke Seamon officiating. A viewing will be from 6-8PM on Sunday at the funeral home and again one hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment in Conestoga Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Harold's memory may be made to Hospice & Community Care, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125 or to the Reformation Lutheran Church Bldg. Fund, www.reformation-nalc.org.
