Harold Samuel Shaak Sr. passed away peacefully December 23, 2016, at Middletown Home, at the age of 91. He was the son of the late Samuel J. & Savannah M. (Dull) Shaak and the husband of the late Elva E. Shaak who passed away December 3rd. He is survived by Harold S. Jr and wife Joan, Mary Ellen and husband Jim Hudson, Stanley R. and companion Pat Rinehart, Michael D. and wife Diane. Also survived by numerous grand, great grand and great great grandchildren. Predeceased by 1 brother and 1 step sister. Harold was a long standing member of IOOF (Independent Order of Odd Fellows), American Legion and numerous additional organizations throughout his life. He had retired from Buddy Homes, but continued to work part time for Senco until 2000. He was an outgoing and positive person. He enjoyed working with mechanical equipment, tinkering, collecting toy cars/trucks and traveling. A small gathering to remember Harold will take place from 10-11AM, Thursday, December 29, 2016, at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Brickerville.
