Harold B. Heiss, 91, of Lancaster, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster to the late Harry B. and Anna F. Smith. He served in the Navy as a Motor Machinist's Mate 3rd Class on board the USS LST 743 during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. Harold was an electrician for Hamilton Technology for 26 years, retiring in 1988. He loved animals. Harold was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and American Legion Post #34. Last of his immediate family, Harold was predeceased by his loving wife Mildred J. Hanley Heiss in 1990 and his sisters Dorothy Krallinger, M. Rita Barnett and Jacqueline Morrison.
