IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Harold L.
Godshall
February 16, 2018
On Friday February 16, 2018 Harold L. Godshall, D.C. left his life on earth for eternal life in Heaven. He fought a courageous 19-month battle with pancreatic cancer. During his battle he welcomed all to join him in prayer and encouraged them to be a "Warrior, not a Worrier".
Born July 11, 1950, he was the son of the late Harold and Blanche (Fletcher) Godshall of East Petersburg. He was the loving husband of Joni (Gregor) Godshall. They would have celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary on March 1.
Surviving, in addition to his wife are two daughters: Amy, wife of Jamie Gish, of Manheim and Kelli, wife of Kevin Martin, of Lancaster; 2 grandchildren, Bella and Ethan Martin; a sister, Lynne Yancha of Mifflinburg; a sister-in-law, Janet Colton, of Clifton Park, NY; two nieces Adrienne Beck, of Lancaster & Meghan Colton, of Clifton Park, NY.
Harold graduated from Hempfield High School in 1968. He enlisted in the United States Navy in October of 1970. He received the National Defense Service Medal while in the service. He attended Millersville University from 1972-1974. He went on to pursue his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. He graduated in June of 1978 and established his practice in Millersville, PA in September of 1978.
Harold and Joni have owned and operated Godshall Chiropractic in Millersville for 39 years. Harold had a passion for holistic healthcare by facilitating God's natural, self-healing design of the human body. He never looked at his work as a job but rather an honor. He enjoyed the care of and interaction with his patients.
Harold had many passions. He chose to put God 1st in his life. He had great faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His wish was that the name of Jesus would be a household name. He was a partner at LCBC Church, Manheim since 2002 where he served in various roles. His family and friends meant everything to him. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, vacationing with the family, cruising with the church family, watching the birds and squirrels out his window and taking drives in the country. He enjoyed the simple pleasures. He had a compassionate heart and was willing and able to lend a hand to a friend in need.
The family will receive visitors between 5PM and 7PM, on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. Visitation will end promptly as we will be releasing lanterns outside, directly following the visitation. Visitation will continue at LCBC, Manheim, 2392 Mt. Joy Rd, Manheim, PA, at 9:30AM, Wednesday, February 28, 2018, where you are invited to join & greet the family for a breakfast buffet (Harold style-casual attire) followed by a memorial service beginning at 11AM. Interment will be held privately at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
