Harold Burton, age 91, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025. Born on May 8, 1934, in Chester, Pennsylvania, Harold lived a life marked by strength, kindness, and devotion to those he loved.

A proud veteran, Harold served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956. After the military he drove trucks for a while until he worked at Armstrong where he was a machine operator.

Harold was known by all who met him as a gentle, supportive presence. His compassion and generosity touched countless lives, and no one who knew him ever had a bad word to say. He had a love for classic cars and never passed up an opportunity to share a conversation with his family or friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Gladys Lane; his son, Harold Lane; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren along with thirteen foster children. Harold's legacy lives on through the many lives he enriched and the generations of family who carry his spirit forward.

A viewing will be held on Saturday May 17, 2025 at 2:00 PM, followed by a service at 3:00 PM, both at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory Inc, 414 E. King Street Lancaster, PA, 17602. Burial with military honors will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
