Obituary

Hans G.J. Lienhard, 84, of Lancaster passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in St. Georgen, Germany he was the son of the late Frederick and Anna Marie (Stachull) Lienhard. He shared over 59 wonderful years of marriage with Beverly S. Lienhard. Hans spent most of his life working in the private sector of the federal government working for the Dept. of Defense as an intelligence officer working around the world in various positions. He proudly served in the US Army. He was an avid gardener and helped organize and run the Herb and Garden Faire at the Landis Valley Museum. He and his wife spent their entire lives traveling the world, going to museums and living overseas for many years before coming to the states. Surviving in addition to his wife, Beverly Sue are four sons, Chris Lienhard, husband of Teresa of Woodstock, MD, Richard Lienhard, husband of Laura of Westminster, MD, Klaus Lienhard of Lancaster, and Fred Lienhard of Columbia, PA. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Hans, Lauren, Kirsten, Klaus, Jr., Kathryn, Anna, Nicholas; a sister, Lilo Ehret and niece, Renate Ehret both of St. Georgen, Germany. Friends will be received from 12-1PM on Thursday, February 19, 2015 with a Service to follow at 1PM at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Flowers will be received.
