Hallie R. Plank, 87, of Lancaster passed away Monday, July 25, 2016 at Audubon Villa after a rapid decline in her health. She was the wife of Robert E. Plank, Sr. to whom she was married for 66 years. Born in Burkittsville, MD she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and India (Lemon) Rohrback. Hallie graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School where she played trumpet in the band. As a teen through her midlife she loved to dance to Big Band music. In Hallie's early married life she traveled around country with her family and at one point owned and ran a Twin Kiss ice cream shop with her husband Bob. In addition to being a homemaker, she also ran the office in the family owned real estate business. She attended St. James Episcopal Church in Lancaster and was an avid gardener most of her life. Known for her sense of humor, Hallie was well liked with her ability to make people laugh. Hallie and her wonderful spirit will live on in our memories. Most of all Hallie loved her family and was a wonderful mother and grandparent. In addition to her husband Robert, she is survived by her children Robert E. Plank, Jr. husband of Susan of Manheim Twp., PA and Deborah F. wife of Gerald K. Haas of Lititz, PA; five grandchildren Melissa A. Herr, Brian K. Haas, Tracy L. Haas, Robert H. Plank and Zachery A. Plank; four great-grandchildren Cody B. Haas, Logan J. Herr, Justin A. Herr and Caleb R. Plank. She was preceded in death by her sister Maureen Cramer and three brothers Benjamin, Walter and Robert Rohrback. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 7PM from the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 with Rev. Lauren Schoeck officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of her family. A viewing will be held one hour prior to her service at the funeral home. Flowers are desired by her family or contributions can be made in Hallie's memory to St. Jude's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org
