On Saturday, December 13, 2025, H. Anne Marks, 90, of Lancaster joined her beloved husband, Hans J. Marks, who preceded her in death on December 4, 2006.
Born in Nanticoke, PA, Anne was the daughter of the late Leon B. and Eleanor E. (Laskowski) Wadzinski. Anne graduated from Nanticoke High School in 1953 and West Chester State Teacher's College in 1957. She taught first and second grades in West Chester schools and at Farmdale Elementary School in the Hempfield School District for 38 years. She was a member of PASR, LCCPASR, and a life member of NEA. Anne was also a member of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks Lodge #134, Lancaster, and the Lancaster Liederkranz. She was a faithful member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Anne and Hans traveled to many states in the USA, as well as European countries – more frequently in Germany, Poland, Italy, Czeck Republic, Switzerland, and Austria. They enjoyed vacationing in the Caribbean Islands and especially Marco Island, FL.
At home, Anne loved her friends and instructors in Silver Sneaker classes at Universal Athletic Club. She expressed her full-life experiences as a wonderful journey with God's help. Henrietta (Henia) as her family knew her had an only sister, Alexa E. Pashinski, who preceded her in death in 2017.
Surviving are nieces, Diane Pashinski, Dale Ann Buchanan, wife of Kirk, and nephew Kyle, of Nanticoke, and brother-in-law, Peter F. Marks (Pattie), a sister-in-law, Gertraude H. Barton, York, and nephews, Hans W.F. Marks and P. Christopher Marks of Lancaster.
Family and friends will be received for visitation from 10AM to 11AM, Monday, December 29, 2025 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10 Delp Road, Lancaster at 11AM, Memorial Services will follow at the church at 11AM. Interment will be at St. Peter's Church Cemetery, Neffsville, PA, immediately following the service.
Kindly omit flowers. Remembrances may be made to St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church at the address above or the Humane League of Lancaster .
