IN LOVING MEMORY OF
H. Kenneth
Lutz
December 8, 2024
H. Kenneth "Ken" Lutz, 88, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at home on December 8, 2024. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Harry Lutz and Ethel (Wingenroth) Lutz-Boesch. He was married to his beloved wife Jean U. (Ulmer) Lutz for 65 years.
Ken was a 1953 graduate of Girard College in Philadelphia, a boy's boarding school. He was extremely proud of his education and was a lifetime member of the Girard Alumni. Ken worked his entire career in purchasing, initially at Reilly Bros and Raub and eventually retiring from Anvil International, formerly ITT Grinell as a senior buyer. During retirement, Ken enjoyed maintaining his home, playing golf, traveling, and bird watching. A man of deep faith, Ken was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was passionate about music and sang in the church choir at Trinity Lutheran for over 60 years. He enjoyed watching sports, specifically Penn State and Philadelphia teams. Most of all, Ken loved spending time with his beloved family and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Jean, he is survived by 2 children: H. Kevin Lutz (Christine) and Kara Jean Haggerty (Edward); and 4 grandchildren: Harrison Lutz, Jonathan Lutz, Erin Burns (David), and Kerrie Balcom.
Family and friends are invited to gather from 10-11 AM on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A service will be held at 11 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions in Ken's name to Trinity Lutheran Church, 31 S. Duke St, Lancaster, PA 17602.
