H. James "Jim" Loke, 77, of Lancaster, ended a courageous 23-year battle with Parkinsons Disease, on December 12, 2023. Born in Montreal, Quebec, he was the son of the late Harold R. and Margaret I. Loke. He shared countless memories and immeasurable amounts of love with his wife of 43 years, Karen E. (Cook) Loke.

Many remember Jim for his dedicated hours at Bent Creek Country Club, Quail Hollow Resort, and Firestone Country Club, where he was the golf course manager. He was the past president of the Northern Ohio Golf Course Superintendents Association, as well as the Central Pennsylvania Golf Course Superintendents Association, and an active board member of the Musser International Turfgrass Foundation.

Jim's memory will live on in his wife Karen; daughters, Julie Loke of Davis, CA, and Kristin Loke, wife of Andrew Geer, of Charleston, SC; granddaughters, Margot and Leila, and brothers, Donald Loke and Marmaduke Loke. He was preceded in passing by his brothers, Gary, and Doug Loke.

Memorial services will be private at the convenience of the family. In his passing, Jim continued his advocacy of education and furthering research of Parkinsons, through organ donation. In his honor, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research or the Musser International Turfgrass Foundation at P.O. Box 124, Sharon Center, OH 44274.
