Gregory N. Dotter, 51, of Ephrata,PA, went to be with The Lord on Tuesday, March 22, 2016.

He was the husband of Sandra "Sandy" L. Glaus Dotter, with whom he shared 26 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Richard L. and Dorothy R. Reed Dotter of Lancaster.

Gregory had worked as a stockbroker for 20 years, working with Smith-Barney and Wells Fargo in the Lancaster area. A 1983 graduate of Manheim Twp. High School, he went on to earn a BS in Finance and a minor in Economics from Penn State University.

He served as a Specialist combat engineer with the First Special Forces (Airborne) Group in the 1980s in the Army Reserves.

A true outdoorsman, Gregory enjoyed fishing, hiking, and big game hunting, traveling to destinations in the US, Alaska, Canada, and Africa. He loved to go to his family's cottage in the Poconos.

In addition to his wife, Sandy, and parents Richard and Dorothy, Gregory is survived by his brother, Steven R. married to Renee Dotter of Lititz; his sisters, Beverly married to Kris Lonkani of Woodville, FL and Barbara Elk of Havana, Florida and by several loving nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Monday, March 28, 2016 from 10-11AM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, with the Funeral Service to follow at 11AM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
