IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Grace M.
Sensenig
April 15, 2025
Grace M. Sensenig, 92, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Woodcrest Villa with her loving family by her side. Born in Elverson, PA, Grace was the daughter of the late David and Mattie (Smoker) Stoltzfus. She was the beloved wife of Elmer Sensenig, who preceded her in death in 2020. Together, they shared a devoted marriage filled with love, laughter, and family.
Grace was a long-time member of Neffsville Mennonite Church, where she found great joy in volunteering—especially in the church kitchen. She also gave her time generously at Mennonite Home and previously served as a Lancaster 4-H vegetable garden leader, nurturing not only plants but young minds.
Grace loved to travel, and whether she was out on the golf course or snowmobiling, she embraced life with an adventurous spirit. Her favorite memories were made at the family's mountain cabin, where stories were shared and bonds were strengthened. She had a special place in her heart for vegetable gardening and found deep satisfaction in sharing the fruits of her labor with family and friends. Driving the tractor on the farm brought her a simple, joyful pride—a testament to the partnership she shared with Elmer.
Above all, Grace was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her four daughters: Carolyn DeVolder wife of Robert, Patricia Hess wife of William, Debra Gabel wife of Robert, and Cheryl Eberly wife of Dwayne; twelve grandchildren: Mike (Kendall), Bryan (Caryn), Robert (Tara), Brad (Carly), Lindsay (Drew), Jaclyn, Tyler (Lizzy), Cristen, Sarah (Bryan), Colin (Ashlee), Zachary, and Cody (Savannah); and sixteen great-grandchildren, who all carry forward her legacy of love and resilience.
She is also survived by her siblings and surviving spouses: Elsie Petersheim, Edna (Harold) Martin, Carol Stoltzfus, Vera (Clayton) Styer, John Wilmer (Laurel) Stoltzfus, Fern (Dennis) Clemmer, and Omar Beam. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Mildred Yoder, Esther Hostetler, Ruth Beam, Romaine Stuckey and Ralph Stoltzfus.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Disaster Service, www.mds.org .
A Memorial Service celebrating Grace's life will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Neffsville Mennonite Church, 2371 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601. Family and friends will be received from 2:00 PM until the time of service. A private burial will be held at the discretion of the family.
