Grace Hatton, 89, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on September 6, 2025.

Born on July 25, 1936, in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Jonathan and Elmira Tompkins. Grace began her career as a registered nurse and dedicated nearly 40 years to the labor and delivery department at Lancaster General Hospital. Known for her strong will and natural caregiving spirit, she earned the nickname "the sarge" for keeping her colleagues punctual and organized.

In 1957, Grace married Robert Hatton, with whom she shared a quiet and devoted life until his passing in 2002. She enjoyed reading and valued time spent at home with her family.

Grace is survived by her daughter Carolyn Harter and husband Jim of Manheim; her son Eric Hatton of Lancaster; granddaughter Megan Renee Delp and husband Josh; two great-grandchildren, Waylon and Zachary; and her brother Jonathan Tompkins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert; her parents; and siblings Jean, Joan, Colette, Danny, and Linda.

A graveside service will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM at Conestoga Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband.
