Gordon Jay Hoover, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 8, 2015. Gordon was the loving husband of his wife, Carol Hoover, for 39 years. He was a retired residential and commercial realtor in Lancaster County. In addition to his wife, Gordon is survived by 4 children: Jeffrey Hoover, Kurt Hoover, Abby Young, and Sara Beth Shoff; 8 grandchildren; 2 sisters: Linda Root and Leslie Hartsough; and one brother, Roger Hoover. He was preceded in death by a son, Bryan Hoover. Memorial services will be held at 6 PM on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Lampeter Church of the Brethren, 1900 Lampeter Rd, Lancaster with Rev. John Hostetter and Rev. Earl Ziegler officiating. There will be a fellowship meal and a time of visitation from 4 to 6 PM prior to the service at the church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
