Gloria Maria Saez-Colon passed away peacefully of natural causes on August 4, 2022, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania at the age of 79. She was born on December 31, 1942, in Orocovis, Puerto Rico to the late Andres Saez and the late Luz Maria Colon. She lived most of her days on the mountain sides of beautiful Orocovis, Puerto Rico where she gardened bright flowers, vegetables, attended to her farm animals & attended church. She came to live in the cozy city of Lancaster, Pa in 2018 and made a home there.

She was predeceased by her brothers Miguel Saez, Ramon Narvaez, Juan Jose Narvaez and survived by sisters Leonides Saez de Santiago, married to Hector Rafael Santiago, Rosita Narvaez, brothers Felipe Saez, Hipolito Saez, Miguel Angel Narvaez, Felipe Narvaez, Eduardo Narvaez & Pedro Narvaez and many nieces & nephews that she adored.

As a homemaker she enjoyed serving others by crocheting them hats & scarves, and making special teas & dinners for friends & family when visiting her home. She loved spending time with her sister & best friend Leonides, either on the phone when apart & inseparable when together. They loved being domino partners & beating who ever challenged them with many laughs after winning. She also loved & enjoyed her friendships at The Spanish American Civic Center where bingo was a time of joking & more laughs.

Her Catholic faith was a big part of her life. She attended mass at San Juan Bautista Church in Lancaster & when unable she watched mass on TV or her her iPad. Her life was a true example of dedication to God & her heart was towards doing his will as she walked out her faith to the very end.

The Santiago family wants to thank the Spanish American Civic Center for being a family to her & Union Community Care for loving & caring for her.

Tia Gloria, as many knew her, you will be deeply missed but the memories will never die. We will Always be family & you will Always be our Tia. Until we meet again in the Glorious Heavens. Bendision, te Amo Tia . 💕

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 4, 2022, at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 425 South Duke Street, Lancaster, PA 17602, where a viewing will begin at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster, PA
