Gloria A. Rohrer, 91, passed away November 22, 2017, at Landis Homes in Lititz. Born in Silver Spring, she was the daughter of the late Aaron B. and Anna L. (Fisher) Shirey, and the beloved wife of the late Harry B. Rohrer, with whom she shared 66 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2011. Gloria graduated from Hempfield High School in 1943, and went on to work at LNP and later at Lancaster County Mutual Insurance Company. She spent most of her life as a homemaker, and was a devoted wife and mother. Her family and friends were most important to her. Gloria was an active member of Pearl Street United Methodist Church in Lancaster. Gloria is survived by her son, Thomas S. Rohrer and his wife Leanne of West Palm Beach, FL, and her daughter, Debra L. Battaglia and her husband John of Ashburn, VA. Also surviving are 2 grandsons, Aaron Rohrer and Brandon Battaglia, and 1 great-grandson, Austin Rohrer. A Memorial Service for Gloria will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, November 26, 2017, in the East Bethany Chapel at Landis Homes, 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz, PA 17543, where the family will begin receiving guests at 2:30 PM. Interment in Silver Spring Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gloria's memory may be made to the Caring Fund at Landis Homes at the above address.
