Gloria A. McInerney, 79, of Lititz, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a brief illness with family by her side on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Pleasant View Retirement Community, under the care of Hospice of Lancaster County. Born on July 9, 1929 in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Blanche (Peters) McInerney. Gloria attended Coatesville area Schools.

In her younger years, Gloria was a caretaker of her nieces and nephews as well as other children. She was an avid Phillies fan, a lover of animals especially dogs and a volunteer at Lancashire Hall for many years.

Gloria is survived by her sister; Elsie Iamurri of Lititz with whom she resided for the past 50 years. Surviving in addition to her sister are: five nieces, Gail, wife of Declan Caulfield, Melanie Iamurri, Gloria Husted & Jill, wife of Douglas Cisney all of Lancaster and Joy, wife of Charles Pinto of Coopersburg; two nephews; Daniel Brown husband of Cindy of DE, and James McInerney, husband of Judy of FL. She was also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: two brothers, James and Charles McInerney and a sister, Mary Brown.

Private Funeral Services will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz 17543.
