Gloria E. Degler, 80, of Lancaster, passed away at The Glen at Willow Valley on Friday, April 17, 2026. Born in Ephrata, PA, she was the daughter of the late Chester H. and Florence E. (Eckert) Eckman. She was the loving wife of D. Terry Degler, with whom she shared over 53 years of marriage.

She was a 1963 graduate of Warwick High School. Gloria began her career in the banking industry working for the former Farmers First Bank and later working in marketing at the Hamilton Bank. Gloria later became a financial planner and senior partner at Personal Wealth Advisory. She was honored back in 2000 for being one of the top 50 women in business here in Pennsylvania.

Gloria volunteered on the LGH Foundation Board, Women’s and Babies Giving Circle, served as a charter member for the United Way Women’s Leadership Council, volunteered as a tax preparer with Vita and with Hospice Women’s Giving Circle.

In addition to her husband Terry, she is survived by her stepdaughter, Pamela Lynn Degler of Lancaster; sister, Fay Buican, wife of James of Rolling Meadows, IL,; niece, Kim Connaughton and nephew, Andrew Javor as well as a host of loving cousins, extended family, and her special friend for over 25 years, Deb Zercher of Columbia, PA.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584. Interment will be private in St. John’s Cemetery, Brickerville, PA. Family and friends will be received from 10-11AM at the funeral home on Friday.
