Gloria May Brown, of Masonic Village, age 87, passed away November 8, 2023. Born in Lancaster, Gloria was the daughter of the late Wilmer and Margaret (Shirk) Hall.
After graduating from J.P. McCaskey High School, Gloria went on to marry Howard L. Brown on October 28, 1958 and the devoted union lasted until his passing on March 13, 2023. After her children were grown, she shifted her career from inside the home to the outside and worked in administration for Machery Products from 1955-1960 and then J. Walter Miller from 1981-2001. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed knitting and sewing. Most of all, she was a devoted wife and mother, focusing her love and attention on her family. The greatest love she had was for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Gloria survived by her son, Lee H. Brown of Lancaster; her grandchildren: Ross Bollinger (husband of Rachel) of Lancaster, Lindsay Borowski (wife of Nate) of Lancaster and Hayley Goshen (wife of Mike) of Elizabethtown and two great grandchildren: Reegan and Ramsey Bollinger.
In addition to her husband and parents, Gloria is preceded in death by her daughter Karen Bollinger.
Family will receive friends Friday, November 17, 2023 from 10am-11am at Spacht-Snyder Funeral Home, 127 S. Broad St., Lititz, PA. 17543, with a service to begin at 11am. Burial will be held at Riverview Burial Park following the service.
