Glenn E. Harris, age 82, of Lansdale, PA, died Tuesday July 17, 2018 at Manor Care Health Services in Montgomeryville, PA. He was the husband of Joanne Smith Harris, with whom he shared 45 years of marriage.

Born in Stillwater OK, he was a son of the late Holly and Catherine Earls Harris.

Mr. Harris served our country in the Airforce during the Vietnam War as a Forward Air Controller flying A Cessna O-2 Skymaster. After the war, he flew high altitude reconnaissance missions in a RB-57F Canberra . He was very proud of his service and retired from the USAF as Lieutenant Colonel after 20 years of dedicated service.

Glenn earned his bachelors and master's degree from the University of Oklahoma. He played shortstop in Division 1A Baseball for the Oklahoma Sooners in the 50's and 60's. He enjoyed a career as purchasing manager for a grocery store chain in SC and late in his career as Director of Purchasing for Stroehmann Bakeries Horsham, PA. He enjoyed traveling throughout his live with his wife and family and especially loved trips to Hawaii and Europe.

In addition to his wife Joanne, he is survived by his son Grant and one sister. He was predeceased by one brother and two sons.

Services and interment will be held privately. Arrangements are by the Bachman Funeral home of Strasburg, PA.
